Hear members of the Utah Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons present a brief history of nuclear arms treaties, progress on reducing the number of nuclear weapons and major challenges to creating a nuke free world.

The United Nations Association of Utah is an affiliate organization of the United Nations Association of the USA. It was formed shortly after the United Nations itself by local leaders who wanted to promote our participation in the international organziation. As members of UNA-USA, we work locally to advance the mission of educating, inspiring and mobilizing members of our community, to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations, strengthening the UN system, prooting constructive US leadership in that system and achieving the goals of the United Nations Charter.

Well-informed speakers help us to expand our knowledge of the world and the many ways that the UN affects it. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month from September through May. They begin with a dinner and then we have a featured speaker as well as updates about issues before Congress that affect the UN.
